Kenny Easterday is an American man born on December 7, 1973 with a rare disability (sacral agenesis) that prevents his spine from growing correctly. Doctors amputated his legs when he was a baby to use his shinbone for completing his underdeveloped spine.
Kenny never liked wheelchairs and refused to wear prosthetic legs, so he learned with his dad to walk on his hands and to move with a skateboard.
As many other men, he enjoys sports (especially bowling and pool).
Easterday gained some notoriety following the 1988 release of the Canadian movie The Kid Brother (1988), in which he played a fictionalized version of himself. The film developed a small "cult" following in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, as is evident from its reference on a variety of fan sites.
He was married at the age of 19 to an able-bodied woman named Sarah and he currently appears as a regular on The Jerry Springer Show as The Messenger.
Kenny became the focus of a special on TLC titled "The Man with Half a Body". On the show, Kenny would find out if he is the father of one of the 2 children of his fiancee, Nikki.
During the special, the paternity results came back and have shown that Kenny is not the biological father of Nikki's daughter, Desiree. However, he still considers Desiree, "his girl" and Dylan, "his boy". Since the show has aired, Kenny and his fiancee are no longer together.
