A burglar broke into a police station in the middle of the night, put on a police uniform and helped himself to a bowl of porridge.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested for the crime at Altrincham police station, reports the local Manchester Evening News.
He was allegedly caught red-handed - wearing the uniform and with a bowl of porridge and a cup of coffee - by a policeman coming on duty.
The man, from Broadheath, Trafford, will appear at Trafford Magistrates' Court on March 16 charged with burglary.
Police say they are tightening security around the station and that a door that was found broken is being fixed.
