Brazilian striker Neymar was at the centre of one of the most bizarre sendings off in football when he was penalised for putting on a mask - of himself.
The incident occurred during a goal celebration in a league match between Neymar's club, Santos, and Colo-Colo, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Having already been booked for a needless trip earlier in the game, Neymar scored a brilliant individual goal to spark celebrations on and off the pitch.
The forward, linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer, picked up a discarded paper mask of his own face that was left by the side of the pitch and put it on - upside down.
The joke amused the player and his team-mates - but not the referee, who produced a second caution for the over exuberant celebrations, meaning Neymar was sent off.
